Visit a Native Garden

Across the Intermountain region, people are trying a new look for home landscapes. The old fashioned yard, with a vast expanse of thirsty lawn, a lone shade tree, and a few foundation plantings is giving way to a more interesting, varied, and waterwise landscape. Native plants are a natural part of the new look, as they are adapted to our climate and truly "at home" here. Various public institutions have been fostering this change by creating demonstration gardens that show how native plants can be used.

Here you will find examples of gardens, both public and private, where Intermountain native plants are shown off.
