What Is Restoration? Restoration is the art and science of returning native plant communities to places where they have been degraded or destroyed by disturbance. Disturbance plays an important part in natural cycles, but too often the disturbance is an unnatural one caused either directly or indirectly by human activity. It is our responsibility to make a best effort to repair the damage caused by these unnatural disturbances. Restoration and INPGA Many business members of INPGA provide plants or services to both the landscape/ gardening and restoration markets. So far, INPGA has focused primarily on the landscape and retail gardening side of the native plant marketplace, but we want to make sure that we also serve both the businesses that provide plants and services for restoration and the public and private clients who use these plants and services. We welcome new members from the restoration side of the marketplace. We also appreciate your suggestions on how we can better serve INPGA members involved in restoration, whether as suppliers or users.
