Utah's Choice Grasses

In
cultivated landscapes, grasses provide all-season interest and drama with their spiky leaves and beautiful seed heads. Utah's Choice has five species of grasses, all bunch grasses in contrast to the turf grasses we are familiar with in our yards. One of these, Blue Grama, can be mown as a turf grass, or not mown if you want to enjoy the 'eye-lash' seed head. The five grasses below are arranged roughly in order of their preferred habitats from low desert to montane.
